NGOs and Development Cooperation

NGO and Development Co-operation, Dochas, NGOs, Strategy

NGOs and International NGOs (INGOS) make up a large proportion of the important work being done on sustainable development across the globe. Organisations and civil society actors play integral roles in establishing and maintaining meaningful relationships for the maximisation of cooperation for development. One of the central pillars of Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals is Partnership, and this includes all parties working together within a spirit of strengthened global solidarity, and the participation of all stakeholders in order to strive towards the fulfillment of the goals. In Ireland, Dóchas acts as an important facilitator for this relationship between stakeholders, working as a network that links together many different NGOs united under one cause – sustainable development.

In this section, you will find resources from Dóchas and other groups or organisations pertaining to the role of NGOs in cooperating for development.
