Public Engagement Webinar
Dóchas Worldview Project Launch
23 Oct 2020
On Wednesday 21 October we were delighted to host our latest Webinar, "Public Engagement in the context of COVId-19 and Worldview project launch".
We were joined on the day by Ruairi de Burca, DIrector General of Irish Aid, Kate Davies from the Gates Foundation, Richard Darlington of The Campaign to Defend Aid in the UK, Dr. EIlish Dillion from the School of International Development in Maynooth University, Niall Cowley of We the People and Vice-Chair of Amnesty International Ireland and Prof. David Hudson from the School of International Development in Birmingham University and Co-Director of the Development Engagement Lab (DEL). The event was chaired by Dóchas CEO, Suzanne Keatinge.
Apart from a very engaging conversation around the International development narratives and how to change them, this was also the official launch of "Worldview, Exploring Irish Attitudes to Overseas Development". This exciting new project will look deeper into the changing attitudes of Irish people to overseas aid and explore new ways to communicate about this subject with the public.
