The Ubuntu Network, invites you to attend our annual Dialogue Day on the theme of Educator Self-Awareness & Critical Reflection for GCE, taking place on Tuesday, 10th June 2025 at the Hodson Bay Hotel, Athlone. This daylong event will focus on how teacher educators and pre-service teachers examine their own assumptions, values, and positions in relation to power, identity, and social justice. (7) Corporate Partnerships Coordinator - 6 June

(8) Liaison Officer – Migration Programme - 10 June

The Irish Red Cross is tasked under its mandate as auxiliary to the Irish Government to strengthen responses to the welfare and wellbeing needs of migrants, refugees and beneficiaries of temporary protection. This role will be Dublin office based-full time- working in HQ reception to be the first point of contact for all visitors arriving at the office in need of assistance. (10) Schools of Sanctuary Ireland: Schools Coordinator (Part-time) Midlands, West and North West - 3 June

Schools of Sanctuary is dedicated to creating inclusive and welcoming schools for students from diverse backgrounds, especially families seeking International Protection. We have strong connections with over 270 schools of which over 50 have been awarded Champion Schools of Sanctuary. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as Schools Coordinator for the Midlands, West and North West, who will play a crucial role in growing participation of new schools in our network and supporting those new and existing schools by directly working with teachers to facilitate, include, and integrate students from diverse backgrounds. Internships

(1) Irish Red Cross: International Humanitarian Law Project Intern - 4 June

The main purpose of this internship is to support all IHL related activities of the IRC. The internship will comprise of a number of projects and tasks, decided in conjunction with the International team and on the basis of the needs of the department and the experience, competencies and interests of the intern. Courses and Training

(1) Eurocheck Security: Hostile Environment Course - 7-9 July

Our hostile environment courses are suitable for individuals who are currently working in or are going to work in medium to high-risk areas. They will help to ensure that you keep yourself and those you are working with safer. In addition to the normal security subjects covered in the security awareness courses, this course includes sessions on kidnap, landmines, trauma, sexual assault. The course also includes pre-course reading, exercises and role plays. Our main courses are conducted in Kildare but we can also run short bespoke courses at your own location. We also conduct online hostile environment and security awareness courses. All courses are suitable for NGOs, Charities, journalists, students, human rights workers and volunteers. (2) Maynooth University: International Justice LLM programme - 30 June

The International Justice masters programme provides students with vital practical and conceptual insights into issues of human rights, equality and social justice under international law. It provides deep, critical engagement with how the international legal order works and how it seeks to advance rights and justice for economically marginalised communities, migrants and racialised groups, victims of gendered violence, people with disabilities, and global south peoples. The masters is open to applicants with legal and non-legal backgrounds alike. It includes special guest lectures from UN Special Rapporteurs and other leading figures, a trip to the Hague to visit international courts and institutions, and the option of a placement module to work part-time at one of our partner organisations. (3) Saolta: Training of Trainers Summer Edition: Peacebuilding in Outdoor Education - 19 June

This hybrid training is free and open to all adult and community educators across the island of Ireland to build their knowledge of, and capacity in, Global Citizenship Education. This Outdoor Summer Edition includes: 3 online sessions, 2 full Experiential Peacebuilding days (in the Wicklow and Mourne Mountains) and individualised coaching and mentoring sessions. (4) Maynooth University: Dr Sinead McGrath Memorial Scholarship Scheme, 2025/26 - 1 September

The Department of International Development, Maynooth University welcomes applications for a Masters bursary, which is worth €2500 for the winning student.  Interested applicants are invited to submit a CV, a personal statement ( 500 words)  and a short outline (400 words) on their proposed research topic and its place within the theory and practice of international development, or international peacebuilding, to internationaldevelopment(a)mu.ie. (5) Maynooth University: Post-graduate programmes at MU Department of International Development - 30 June

Join us at the Department of International Development, Maynooth University, on our PG and MA programmes, which start in September 2025 (full- or part-time). These include our PG Cert. in Global Citizenship Education, MA in International Development, and our MA in International Peacebuilding, Security and Development Practice. In Irish Rule of Law International’s (IRLI) new Horsehair Wigs podcast episode, Executive Director, Maria McCloskey dives into the meaning of the rule of law and why it matters. She discusses key principles like access to justice and judicial independence, and how IRLI puts them into action—from Malawi and Zambia to new initiatives in Ethiopia. (1) Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade: Shared Island Civic Society Fund Applications Now Open - 27 June

The Shared Island Civic Society Fund is now open for applications from Monday 26 May 2025 at 9.30am until the final closing date of Friday 27 June 2025 at 11:59pm Dublin Time. Please be aware that this will be the only application round in 2025.
