(2) Irish Coalition for Business and Human Rights: Talks and Joint Actions to save the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive - 23 June

An evening of information sharing and action to urgently protect the ‘biggest corporate law reform in EU history’ from being slashed this month!  Workers and frontline communities fought for years for EU regulations on the impact of corporations on planet and people. After years of negotiations, the EU agreed the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive. Now, the European Commission’s Omnibus I proposal threatens to dismantle these hard won safeguards for people and planet. Find out more here

(7) Viatores Christi CLG: Part-time Accountant - 27 June

We’re looking for a qualified and experienced Part-Time Accountant to support the financial management of Viatores Christi, an international development and volunteering organisation. This permanent role is for 1 day per week (7.5 hours) and can be carried out remotely or on a hybrid basis from our office in Phibsborough, Dublin. The role offers a pro rata salary of €10,000 (based on a full-time equivalent of €50,000), along with pension contributions, flexible working hours, and pro rata annual leave (starting at 22 days, increasing with service). (1) Irish Global Health Network: Summer Programme 2025: Essentials of Global Health Practice - 14-18 July

This immersive, week-long course is designed for individuals passionate about global health, sustainable development, and health equity – particularly in resource-limited settings. Find out more here. 

(2) United Edge: 100 fully funded spaces on JBA Foundation Course - 30 June

In response to aid cuts, we've decided to offer 100 fully funded spaces on our flagship Justice Based Approach Foundation Course in September, a global interactive course already taken by 2,500 humanitarians and development workers. JBA offers a practical, radical, and hopeful framework to help teams adapt to today's realities while staying rooted in justice, dignity, and system change. We cover systems thinking, localisation, reimagining aid, and participatory decision-making, as well as ethical leadership, innovation-based programme design, and justice-centred M&E. The course weaves together power and oppression, gender and climate justice, and practical tools for strategic, accountable, and transformative action with plenty of lessons to apply to funding, financing, philanthropy, and sustainable NGO models, too. (3) Maynooth University: International Justice LLM programme - 30 June

The International Justice masters programme provides students with vital practical and conceptual insights into issues of human rights, equality and social justice under international law. It provides deep, critical engagement with how the international legal order works and how it seeks to advance rights and justice for economically marginalised communities, migrants and racialised groups, victims of gendered violence, people with disabilities, and global south peoples. The masters is open to applicants with legal and non-legal backgrounds alike. It includes special guest lectures from UN Special Rapporteurs and other leading figures, a trip to the Hague to visit international courts and institutions, and the option of a placement module to work part-time at one of our partner organisations. (1) IRLI: IRLI’s Horsehair Wigs podcast with Aonghus Kelly (EUAM Ukraine) 

In the latest Horsehair Wigs episode, Irish Rule of Law International (IRLI) speak with international human rights lawyer Aonghus Kelly, former head of the International Crimes Legal Unit for EUAM Ukraine. He shares insights on the complex process of international trials and the challenges of holding high-profile figures accountable. Aonghus also explores compensation mechanisms for victims of the Russian invasion, including the Register of Damage and a potential Claims Commission using frozen Russian assets. He raises questions about fairness in international justice and whether geopolitical interests influence outcomes. Listen in full here.

(1) Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade: Shared Island Civic Society Fund Applications Now Open - 27 June

The Shared Island Civic Society Fund is now open for applications from Monday, 26 May 2025 at 9.30am until the final closing date of Friday 27 June 2025 at 11:59pm Dublin Time. Please be aware that this will be the only application round in 2025. If you are planning to apply to the Shared Island Civic Society Fund in 2025, please ensure that you are prepared to submit an application in this upcoming round. Find out more and apply here.

(2) Carmichael : Carmichael opens applications for the Good Governance Awards 2025 - 11 September

Any nonprofit organisation in Ireland, whether a charity, company, sports club or community association, can enter its annual report and financial statements into the Awards for free, and it will receive individual feedback to help improve future annual reports. The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony in November. Nonprofits with an annual income of less than €100,000 win 1 free place on a training course of their choice for entering the awards and win 2 additional training places if they are shortlisted to win. (3) Irish Global Health Network: IGHN's Restore Humanity Campaign 

The Restore Humanity Campaign calls on Irish NGOs, Civil Society Organisations, and the Global Health Community to come together to engage, advocate, campaign, and mitigate this global health and humanitarian crisis. Find out more here. 

(4) NYCI: One World Week Seed Fund applications are now open - 8 July

The NYCI 2025 One World Week Seed Fund applications in association with Irish Aid have launched! Applications are open from Tuesday 3rd June - Tuesday July 8th 5pm. The fund is an exciting opportunity for youth organisations to explore an aspect of the Sustainable Development Goals, and to connect young people's personal experiences with their local community and the wider world. Project implementation should take place between 12th August - 30th September 2025. Successful applicants will receive a grant of up to €400 and free training with the Youth 2030 expert team to support youth workers to deliver a young person-centered project on issues relating to our global world.
