(5) Global Action Plan: Hospicing Modernity Book Circle - 19 November

Following on from GAP’s recent Hospicing Modernity course, Róisín Dexter and Sarah-Jane Cullinane will be hosting a Hospicing Modernity Book Circle, starting November 19th. Over three months of online discussions and one in-person meeting, this group will collectively a book that explores the polycrisis we are living in and courageously guides us to search deep and wide, in uncomfortable and beautiful places, to find our steps forward together. (6) The Wheel: Shaping Skills, Shaping Society National Forum - 26 November

The Wheel is proud to host a national forum that highlights the vital role of the community and voluntary sector in Ireland’s skills system. At a time of rapid change - driven by digitalisation, the green transition, and growing social needs - the nonprofit sector is central to providing lifelong learning opportunities and building a skilled, inclusive workforce. Join with participants from across the community and voluntary sector, education and training providers, policy makers and other key stakeholders for this important conversation about the national skills agenda. (7) IDEA: Pathways to Decolonial Practices in Global Citizenship Education - 20 November

The Irish Development Education Association (IDEA) is hosting our 2025 Research Showcase: Pathways to Decolonial Practices in Global Citizenship Education on Thursday, 20 November, 10.00 - 11.30am, online. We are delighted to be joined by Dr Tanya Samu, senior lecturer in the Faculty of Arts and Education of Waipapa Taumata Rau at The University of Auckland, Aotearoa New Zealand, and Dr Sandrine Uwase Ndahiro, who has published extensively on race, identity, and the Anthropocene. This will be an opportunity to explore how we engage with communities affected by injustice, and how we can further commit to challenging unequal power relations across the issues we work on. (8) SeeBeyondBorders Ireland: EPIC Connections: An Irish-Cambodian Collaboration for Educational Transformation - 26 November

Join us at Mary Immaculate College, Limerick at lunchtime on the 26th of November to discuss the future of education in Ireland and Cambodia. This hour-long lunchtime symposium will celebrate the growing connections between both countries, explore transformative approaches to education and teacher development, and inspire future research. Hosted by the Centre for Global Education, this webinar presents findings from a new report by the Committee on the Administration of Justice, mapping how far-right discourse on social media spreads racist stereotypes, misinformation, and hate targeting migrants and minority ethnic communities. (6) Property Manager – Migration - 25 November

The role is responsible for leading the organisation’s approach to receiving, and maximising, the offers of accommodation (‘pledged accommodation’) and managing all available property. The role will ensure that supports are in place for home-owners (who pledge accommodation), and that pledged accommodation is assessed and made available for utilisation (by the Accommodation programme team). (9) Plan International Ireland: Programme and Finance Support Officer - 28 November

Plan International Ireland is looking for a Programme and Finance Support Officer to support the management of its Irish Aid and Embassy grant portfolio. The role involves grant compliance, financial management, and programme support to ensure the delivery of high-quality, child-focused development work. Candidates should have experience in donor compliance and grant management, strong financial and Excel skills, and excellent communication abilities. French language skills are an advantage. (1) NYCI: Youth 2030 Global Youth Work Programme - 21 November

(2) University of Galway: MA in International Development at University of Galway - 17 July

University of Galway’s new MA in International Development is designed to equip students with the knowledges and skills to tackle the most urgent concerns of international development in the world today. From climate action to food security, from gender equality to environmental justice, the programme engages key overlapping challenges of global development through tailored modules incorporating interdisciplinary expertise from human geography, international relations, international development and political ecology. (1) Irish Global Health Network: IGHN Partnerships Programme Grant Round 2025 - 30 December

The IGHN Partnerships Programme Grant Round is now open! The 2025 Impact through Innovative Partnerships Grant Round is a 10-month award from the Irish Global Health Network, funded by Irish Aid. The programme supports partnerships between Irish health institutions and counterparts in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) to improve health outcomes and strengthen health systems. Grants of up to €10,000 are available, with funding to be spent within 10 months of the award date. For more information, click here.
